I roll my blue eyes slightly, a small sigh escaping past my full lips. I didnt want to tell Odessa I just didnt want to bring her because she'd ruin everything, so I just do what I always do- stay quiet. I start to open the door but pause as she groans, turning around to see what was the matter. I knew Vampires sometimes reacted badly to medicine, but it was still unexpected. I shake my head in exasperation as Odessa waves me away. I open the door and start to turn to ask if she was sure she was okay: I did have a (pulseless) heart. I arch an eyebrow at her words and cant help but chuckle, a grin spreading across my face. Over a hundred years, and still a rusted nickel between her knees. "Not something you say out loud, either." I say, amusement in my voice before I finally step outside, stuffing my hands into my pockets as I walk down my path. Soon, Im back where I'd staked Odessa and I lean cooly against the young oak once more, blue eyes appraisingly roving over the few people who were in the park. The young woman about to jog by seemed like a pretty good prospect. I watch as her muscles tense to turn onto the path I was on and I take a step back to melt into the shadows, my tongue running over my teeth.

Odessa jerked up, flinging her arm away from her face. At first she didn't recognized Solomon's humorous voice. But when she saw who it was, her embarrassment just flooded even more. Not something you express you heard, either. She grumbled, picking at the fraying strings in a hole on her jeans. The fabric of her pocket poked through and she tucked it back under. Anything to advert her mind from the shame she felt about saying something that 'important' in the hearing of a vampire. Once he had been gone for a bit, Odessa stood up and gingerly took a few steps. It didn't hurt to walk anymore, thank God. She roamed around the cabin's cabinets. Nothing much was there, as expected. Her eyes roved around the walls, taking in every detail for her liking. It was something she didn't see much in her primarily concrete world.

My hand snaked out as she drew closer, closing around her throat in a vise like grip. My other hand covered her mouth, muffling a scream. She put up more of a fight than I expected for her to, though she soon calmed down as the loss of blood got to her. I probably drank more than I should have, but I hadnt killed her- not by any means. She crumples to the leaf strewn forest floor after I release her. I take her chin in my hand, forcing her to looking into my deep blue eyes that could seem to hold all the answers to the mysteries of the universe. "You never saw me. You tripped and fell, hitting your head on that boulder, and it knocked you out." I say before letting her go. I straighten up, fixing my grey duster around me beofre turning to start back down the path to my cabin. Within a couple minutes, it appears in the bend in the faint trail and I pause before shaking my head at my own foolishness and starting up the wooden stairs, pulling the door open before closing it behind me.

Odessa was squatted down, peeking in a drawer when the door creaked. She jumped and turned around, if blood were in her vieins she was sure she'd be 500 shades of red. Quickly composing herself, she brushed away the trendles of hair that had fallen in her face and noticed Solomon stood different. He had fed. Her small stomach wanted to grumble, but Odessa swallowed then, causing it to go quiet for a minute. She tapped her foot, then went back to the couch and sat down, pulling her legs under her. How was your outting? Odessa asked, looking at Solomon and pulling her hair over one shoulder. There wasn't much to do in a cabin in the middle of no where. Her mind wandered to Dob and what he thought. It wasn't unnatural for her to disappear at night. Normally she had extra feedings, took a trip around the death block. No, her nights weren't always pleasant.

I turn to face the room, watching as Odessa hurridly straightened from where she was squatting. "I have nothing to hide." I say, a small chuckle emanating from between my full lips. She walked over to the couch, apparently having already made herself at home in my small cabin. There wasnt much to do here, aside from the very large library I had in the guest bedroom. There were only two bedrooms- mine and then the library/study room, though there was a small cot ticked between two bookshelves. "Good." I reply casually, leaning back against the closed door. I knew Odesssa could probably tell I'd fed, though all Vampires did. I run my tongue absentmindedly over my lips, soon pushing myself away from the door to cross the room, my duster finding its home on the back of one of the wooden kitchen chairs that centered around a small table.

Odessa gave a short burst of laugh. Everyone has something to hide, Solomon. She looked down at her lap, running her palms over her thighs. It was increasingly boring. The pain in her torso had dwindled, but she could still feel a pull if she moved. Solomon had probably ended some of her favorite flexible activities. Odessa looked up at him, a polite smile playing on her lips. Good that it was good. Her butt vibrated and she jumped, smacking a phone. Making a 'oh' noise, she pulled it out and looked at the screen. A text from dob. Odessa sent off a quick reply: another night out, be home tomorrow. She slid her phone back in her back pocket and moved to where her back was resting against the arm rest of the couch. She pulled her knee's into a V shape and and put her arms loosely around the top of her knee's.

I roll my blue eyes towards the ceiling at her words. "If you believe that, keep looking." I reply bluntly, pulling the chair back with a squeal as the legs scraped the floor of the cabin. I sat down, leaning forward with my chin in my palm, my elbows resting on the table. I nod slowly as Odessa speaks once more, my eyes on the pattern of the grain on the table. I look up as she jumps up, her hand smacking a rectangle on her butt before apparently realizing it was her phone. Her fingers fly as she replies and soon she sits back down. "I have books." I say suddenly, looking over at her. "Not really anything else. I do nothing but read." I add, pushing my chair back from the table. "I'll show you, if you'd like." I continue, shrugging my broad shoulders. It wasnt as if I were letting Odessa into my room, or into my life. It was just books.
