She pulls back and twirls a strand of honey gold hair around her finger before apparently making up her mind in the simple phrase 'I trust you'. Trust. It was a big thing between couples, especially if they were to be together forever as we were. I nod slightly, my mind racing. If she were to stay, I'd have to buy a generator -running power lines out here simply wouldn't be possible- and chocolate, yes. Ruby would have anything she could ever want and more. She repeats her sentence and I swallow, suddenly nervous. I didn't want to hurt her, but we all make sacrifices for love. I wrap my arms around her as a comfort, and in case she collapsed. I look at her again before leaning in to sink my teeth into her neck. It was different from feeding, oh so different; instead of taking I was giving. Maybe it was something about Vampiric saliva or, perhaps our fangs were hollow and could leak poison as a snake's did; but, either way, I was turning Ruby.

Ruby closed her eyes so she wouldn't have to look at Landru. She didn't want to see him that way while she was still a human. Though it wouldn't make that much difference since it was now her. Who knew the Twilight books were real? Well, this wasn't exactly some romance where Edward was fiercely protecting his Bella. And she doubted the vampires glinted in sunlight. Landru hadn't in the flashes of sun in the cabin. Then again, there wasn't much sun. Ruby swallowed. She'd never wear anything but sweaters and pants if that were the case. Sparkle wasn't exactly her style. But then Landru's fangs brushed her skin. It would hurt, somewhere in her body she knew that. Right as his fangs actually sunk past her pale skin, she convulsed and gripped his shirt, tightening it around her fist. No sound came from her. Just the deep breaths that become slower, shallower, and finally into nothing. That was it. She was gone. Ruby the human no longer. Her watery eyes opened slowly once before she felt her vision tunneling before going black.
